About the Job

Be an early and important member of TubeMogul - an exciting, well-funded and high-growth organization that provides brand advertisers with the best tools and services to buy and track their video ads. You will love our results-driven, fast and no BS team.

We are searching for a Java expert to help us build out a highly scalable system which makes about 100,000+ decisions per second and reports the results in real-time. Candidates should have a pragmatic approach to application architecture and a knowledge of high-performance programming. In the role you would be working with a Java application stack that leverages open-source tools like Hadoop and Membase.

Candidates will be familiar with the technologies we are using but may have not necessarily had the ability to work on them in their current job setting. That's generally ok. However, you should have true passion for technology that is apparent through your previous work. Furthermore, the best candidates are excellent team players as one of the benefits of working at TubeMogul is coming to work with people you can rely on.

Requirements
  • Most important, you are an excellent problem solver
  • Exercise good judgment about which tools to use and when to use them
  • Extensive Java experience
  • Strong sense of ownership and personal pride in your work
  • Good written and oral communication skills
